Pro-Tips
Elevating Your Creamy Chicken Mushroom Pasta
Here’s the thing, friends: the magic of this dish lies in the ingredients. Use fresh mushrooms—seriously, none of that canned stuff! Fresh mushrooms release a beautiful, earthy flavor when sautéed, especially when combined with garlic and olive oil. I like to use a mixture of mushrooms, sometimes throwing in some cremini or portobello for added depth. The goal is to let those mushrooms caramelize a bit before adding any liquids. Save Some of That Pasta Water When you’re cooking your penne pasta, make sure to save some of that pasta water. Yes, that starchy goodness helps bind the sauce to the pasta, making it extra creamy and delicious. Trust me, once you start doing this, you’ll never look back.Bonus Pro Tip: Parmesan, Baby!
What makes this dish creamy and oh-so-good? Well, the cream of course, but let’s not forget the star ingredient: Parmesan cheese. It adds that sharp, salty bite that cuts through the richness of the cream. And here’s a little secret—grate the Parmesan cheese fresh! None of that pre-grated stuff; it just doesn’t have the same flavor or texture. Grate it right over the dish at the end, and let it melt into the sauce for that final touch of perfection. One more thing: a little butter at the very end. Yes, that’s right—just a touch of butter stirred into the sauce before serving gives it a silky smooth texture that’s just unbeatable. Remember, friends, it’s all about layering flavors and textures, and that little bit of butter will bring everything together beautifully.Equipment - You can find the items below at our online store!
